Graduation Requirements

Graduation Requirements Code No. 605.4

The requirements for graduation from Faribault High School and participation in Commencement shall be as follows: 

A. Each student must pass all tests required by the State of Minnesota. 

B. Each student must have a record of performance in the Profile of Learning as required for their graduating class and as described in the Faribault High School Registration Guide. 

C. Each student must attend Faribault High School as a full-time student for at least the one full semester of her/his senior year before graduation. 

For purposes of this policy a full-time student is defined as a student who has a minimum of five class periods scheduled with an approved program at Faribault High School. 

D. Each student must earn the minimum of credits designated for his/her graduating class.

These credits must include specific courses designated by the school district as part of the graduation requirement. A one-credit course must meet for at least 120 clock hours during the year (see Edu 42 Administrative Manual for Minnesota Public Schools).
